I hope you have enjoyed our Facebook group: YOU KNOW YOU'RE FROM PURCHASE DAY CAMP IF… I have had so much fun seeing old pictures and hearing older stories. It has been a treat catching up with the old timers like me. This past summer would have been my 43rd consecutive season at Purchase Day Camp. As you know, we did not open due to the pandemic.
Summer camp funds every other program at the PCH. Losing out on a year of camp revenue has been devastating. So, I am calling on all of you for help. We are initiating a fundraising campaign to help offset the revenue lost last summer. I am asking you to think about all those camp memories and what they have meant to you in your life? How did PDC help you get your first "real job"? Did your experiences here make you a better person? A better boss? A better spouse? A better bathroom cleaner? If so, I am asking you to reach into your pocket and show us how much that experience has meant to you.
We no longer have the swim patches for passing a level like in the 70's. We have replaced them with metal tags you can hang on your bag. We have designated the giving levels below. All donors will be recognized on our website and will receive the appropriate tag for their collection. What level will you be floating at? Make your donation by clicking the links above.
When this mess is all over, we will have a get together for donors at camp. Then we will retire to the Cobblestone for some special beverages, wings, nachos and a 50-50 (now a Mixed Bowl)!
Thanks in advance for your help and support. It means a lot to me.
